A Relationship Without Props

A Relationship Without Props.

From a format IHOPper.   Her thoughts on whether or not going to IHOP is a wise thing to do.  Short but sweet.

I have seen too many believers in Christ falling into the trap of practicing "Christianized New Age" and still calling it holy. Contemplative prayer is nothing more ( or less) than TM. Totally unscriptural. I encourage anyone who's interested in knowing the truth of God's word to dig in daily and SEARCH - be like the Bereans - FIND OUT if the teachings, messages, books you've read or radio speakers you've heard are dissecting God's word correctly. If they're not, throw out what you've heard. Trash it. God demands we STUDY to show ourselves approved. BE a Berean. Acts 17: 10-11

  1. Thanks so much for the repost & pingback! There are many unfortunately who don’t see the danger in flirting with that fine line between truth and deception. If we are charged to flee from even the appearance of evil there is a great caution in seeing how close we can get to the edge of a cliff without falling over it. We should be running toward truth as fast as hearts can embrace it and wholeheartedly seek to live free of deceptive entanglements if we want to remain free.
Many blessings to you & thank you for sharing my post.

  2. Ariel, some people will argue till they’re blue in the face about how wonderful IHOP is, but they can’t argue quite that adamantly with someone who has been there, seen things, and knows first hand what goes on behind the scenes. I have seen this blog really increase on viewers recently. So on that note, thank you for allowing me to post your story.

There is a ton of deception within the body of Christ right now and I for one am remembering to continue to work out my own salvation with fear and trembling – because I serve a Holy God. Emphasis on Holy….
